Shopify Landing Page Design for Ad, Email and Launch Campaigns

You pay for every click that reaches your store, yet most campaigns still send that click to the homepage or a broad collection that was never written for the ad. Our Shopify landing page design service builds campaign pages that continue the exact promise made in the ad, email or creator post, then make the next step obvious on a phone. It is part of our wider Shopify conversion optimisation programme and is aimed at brands running paid social, Google campaigns, email drops and launches who need new pages quickly without bloating the theme.

What you get is more than a single page. We build each layout as reusable Online Store 2.0 sections, so your team can assemble the next campaign page in the theme editor instead of waiting on a new brief and a new invoice.

01

What a campaign landing page is

A campaign landing page is a page on your Shopify store built for one audience, one offer and one action, reached from an ad, an email or a creator link rather than from your main menu. It is designed around the promise made in the traffic source and strips out anything that competes with that promise. On Shopify it is usually a custom page template, an alternate product template or a collection template assembled from sections and blocks.

02

Why generic destinations waste paid traffic

A shopper who tapped an ad for a three-piece travel set and lands on a grid of forty products has to do the work of finding what they were promised. Many will not. The fix is rarely a prettier page. It is a page whose headline, hero image, offer and first call to action are chosen by looking at the ad, the audience and the stage of intent.

Page structure for cold traffic vs warm traffic

The same product needs a different page depending on who is arriving. Someone seeing your brand for the first time needs belief before they need a button. Someone who opened your email already believes and wants the offer.

Page elementCold traffic (prospecting ads, non-brand search)Warm traffic (email, SMS, retargeting)

Calls to actionOne primary action, repeated after each proof blockAdd to cart or bundle selection straight away

Matching pages to each channel

For Meta advertising that drives traffic to Shopify we usually build one page per creative angle, so a pain-point ad and a gifting ad do not share a hero. Traffic from Instagram Reels, Stories and creator posts arrives on a phone, mid-scroll and often with the sound off, so the first screen has to work as a still image with a clear headline.

Search is different. A shopper typing a specific need into Google expects the page to answer that query, so pages for text-based Google search campaigns are grouped by keyword theme and the headline repeats the language of the query. Performance Max for your store can send people to other URLs on your domain when final URL expansion is on, so we agree with your ads team which pages PMax may use and make sure each one can stand on its own.

04

Landing page types we design and build

Offer and promotion pages

Seasonal sales, gift-with-purchase offers and early access events. The page shows the offer mechanics clearly: what qualifies, when it ends and how the discount is applied, so shoppers do not reach checkout unsure of the price.

Bundle and set pages

Fixed sets and mix-and-match bundles presented as one decision instead of several product pages. We work with your existing bundle setup and design the picker so the saving and the contents are visible before the shopper commits.

Launch and pre-launch pages

Product drops with a waitlist or back-in-stock sign-up before release, then a switch to a purchase layout on launch day. Sign-ups flow into your email platform so the launch email can send people back to the same page.

Long-form pages for cold audiences

Story-led single-product pages for prospecting campaigns that answer objections in order. They suit products that need explaining, such as skincare routines or technical gear.

Creator and partner pages

Pages that carry a creator's name, their pick of products and their code, so the audience sees continuity from the post. One template serves every partner, with content swapped through metafields.

05

How we build the pages inside your theme

We build in your existing theme, not beside it. Each layout becomes a set of sections and blocks on a custom JSON template, with campaign-specific content held in metafields or metaobjects where it makes sense. Our Liquid theme developers follow your theme's code patterns, so updates and future work do not fight with the landing page code.

If you already use a page builder and your team is fast with it, we will say so and work within it. We only recommend a switch when speed or editing problems justify the rebuild.

When the brief is really about the whole storefront, from navigation to product page layouts, our full store UX and visual design service is the better fit. This page covers the campaign layer on top of it.

06

Speed, tracking and indexing decisions

Campaign pages carry heavy media and often land on slower mobile connections, so we set a weight budget for each template: hero images sized for mobile, video loaded on interaction, and no app scripts that the page does not use. Store-wide Core Web Vitals work, including app clean-up across the theme, sits with our Shopify page speed specialists.

Every page ships with UTM conventions agreed with your ads and email teams, and we confirm that GA4 and pixel events fire on the page before launch.

Indexing is a deliberate choice, not a default. Pages built only for paid traffic, or near-duplicates of an existing collection, get a noindex tag and are kept out of the sitemap, for example with Shopify's seo.hidden metafield. Pages built to rank as well as convert stay indexable, get their own title and meta description and are linked from relevant collections.

07

Testing variations and the rest of the journey

A new landing page is a hypothesis. Where traffic is large enough, we run the new layout against the current destination as a controlled experiment on your Shopify theme, with add-to-cart rate and revenue per session as the decision metrics. Where traffic is too thin for a valid test, we compare against the written baseline and say so plainly.

Sometimes a page gets strong add-to-cart numbers and revenue still does not follow. That points to a leak further down the journey, such as cart, shipping costs or checkout, which is where GA4 funnel analysis across the whole store comes in.

08

How a landing page project runs

  1. Audit and baseline. We review where your campaigns currently send traffic, the GA4 landing page report by source and medium, your ad and email creative, and a mobile speed test of today's destinations. You get the findings and baseline numbers in writing: sessions, add-to-cart rate, conversion rate and revenue per session for each campaign.
  2. Strategy and scope. We write a page brief for each campaign covering audience, promise, offer, objections and proof, then wireframe the layouts. The fixed scope names the number of pages, the sections in the library and the timeline before anything is built.
  3. Build and fix. Pages are built on a duplicated theme. You review every page on a preview link on your own phone, and we check discount links, product forms, UTMs and tracking events before sign-off. Nothing reaches the live store until you approve it.
  4. Launch and track. Approved pages go live with the campaign. Retainer clients follow results in the private client portal, with monthly reporting and a monthly call to choose the next page or test.

A single campaign page typically takes one to three weeks from brief to launch, depending on how many new sections it needs and how quickly feedback comes back.

09

Pricing model

Landing page work is quoted as a fixed-scope project, for example a set of launch pages plus a reusable section library, or included in a monthly CRO retainer when you launch campaigns every month. Every quote is scoped after we have looked at your theme and campaigns. See how our CRO retainers and projects are priced, or get a landing page quote for your next campaign.

10

Who this service is for

  • Brands spending meaningfully on Meta, TikTok or Google and sending that traffic to generic pages
  • Email-led stores that run frequent drops, launches or limited offers
  • Marketing teams who want to launch pages without developer time for every campaign
  • Shopify Plus stores running several campaigns or expansion stores at once, where a shared section library keeps pages consistent

It is less suited to stores with very little paid or email traffic. There, work on the core product and collection pages usually pays back sooner.

11

Why brands work with us on campaign pages

We work only on Shopify and Shopify Plus, so pages are built with the platform's own tools rather than bolted on. Paid media, SEO and CRO sit under one roof, which means the ad, the landing page and the indexing decision are planned together instead of by three teams who never speak. Every page is staged, previewed and approved by you before launch.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

It depends on how many pages you need and how many new sections have to be built. A single page that reuses existing sections costs far less than a first project that creates a full section library. We scope a fixed price after reviewing your theme and campaigns, and ongoing page work can sit inside a CRO retainer.

No, most stores do not. Online Store 2.0 themes support custom templates built from sections and blocks, which your team edits in the theme editor. A page builder can make sense if your team already uses one well, but it adds scripts and a subscription.

Typically one to three weeks for the first page, depending on scope and feedback speed. Once the section library exists, later pages can often be assembled by your team in a day or two.

Only if they are built to rank. Paid-only pages and close duplicates of existing collections should carry a noindex tag and stay out of the sitemap, so they do not compete with your main pages in search results.

Yes. On Shopify Plus and on stores using Shopify Markets we design templates that work across markets and expansion stores, with translated content and local currency pricing handled by the platform rather than duplicated by hand.

Start with one page per main audience and offer, not one per ad. Most brands need a small set: a cold traffic page per hero product, an offer template, and a bundle or launch template, all reusing the same sections.

Yes. Headlines, images, offers, products and reviews are all editable settings and blocks, and we hand over a short guide showing which sections to use for which type of campaign.
